I want to give a shout out to Graboidz and thank you for commenting about my articles. I’m hoping I see yours on a weekly basis as you have stated you will post. It’s been a warm and wet summer where I live and at the moment I am on vacation, but I still have time to post my article. I have to considering the PPV was this past Sunday. A couple of surprises happened at this one so I have to talk about them.

Onto the WWE and its Money In the Bank PPV. The surprise of the evening was Kane winning the World Champion from Rey Mysterio. He took advantage of the situation after Rey had a match against Jack Swagger (more on that later). It’s been a long time since Kane had the title around his waist and I was really beginning to worry about this as well. The man has been in the federation for a long time and it was appearing as if he would be buried by the writers and not have anything to do. The consensus for this title run is that the Undertaker will return and we will find out that Kane was the man that put Taker in a comatose state. I suppose if Taker is healed up, this might just happen after Summerslam, we shall see. These two have fought against each other and with each other countless times. So its been awhile for this feud to happen again. I would like to see Kane have the title for longer than 2 months, he deserves it. We all know the Undertaker is a company man and has the biggest pull of any wrestler in the fed right now (except for HHH that is) so if he wants another crack at the title, he will get it. The Mysterio/Swagger match wasn’t bad, but it didn’t help the crowd was pretty dead for a lot of it. I know it’s not because of Rey, so you have to go with Swagger as the reason. He didn’t last long as a champ, so my guess is he will be moved down to midcard status once his feud with Mysterio is over…another failed experiment for new talent. But at least the WWE is trying. The Miz has a crack at the title now as well. I never thought they would have given him that chance. But really, he has the mic skills and the heat to make a great champion. They have a year to decide what to do with him and a lot could change in that time. They could even change their minds about him having the suitcase-they did with Ken Kennedy and look where he is now. Only time will tell. The women’s matches were to say the least, horrible. They are only there because of their looks definitely not because of their talents in the ring. Tell me I’m wrong and why and I might just recant my statement about them. Whenever they come on, I turn the channel on Monday nights as well. The tag team match between the Hart Dynasty and the Uso’s was way too short in my opinion. Once again the WWE has disappointed me in this division. I wish they would pull their heads out of their you know whats and figure out what they are doing with the tag teams. It could be so much greater than it currently is, but right now it just sucks eggs. Sheamus and Cena, glad to see they kept the title on Sheamus. The human mayo-man is growing on me as champ. Lets face facts here, I would rather have him be champ than witness another Cena run. Maybe change is happening for the good for this particular wrestler. I will keep my fingers crossed. The only thing that I want to say about the match that Christian was in is, he should have won. Maybe the writers will change their minds about this whole thing and through a curveball and somehow someone else will inherit the case, but it just seems as if Christian is continually getting the short end of the stick. Comments? I’m sure there will be.

The Summerslam PPV could actually turn out to be a decent one with NXT going against the Cena team. I really want to have NXT win the darn thing. If the writers want to move some new guys up the line and become our next Cena, that team needs to win against the veterans. I was hoping that at the end of Raw we would have seen a Cena heel turn, but there is always at Summerslam for that to happen. Do I think it will actually happen? No, I would love it to happen, but it won’t. Cena brings in too much as far merchandise and other revenue to turn him heel. The one veteran that might turn out to be the “real leader” of the NXT could be HHH, if he is healed up by then that is. Only time will tell. Speaking of the team concept for Summerslam, Bret Hart being in the mix is a good idea in theory. He won’t have to do much during the match so bringing him in is just another way of getting more ratings and PPV buys. That way, the storyline can continue and maybe be better for us all to watch-if the writers even know what they are doing with it that is.

Onto TNA (and not much to comment about it, sorry)…..An ECW PPV is coming. Tommy Dreamer is trying to get a hold of all the old ECW wrestlers to wrestle at this show. If it’s a success you can bet they will continue with it for a long time to come. The way Vince handled things was an abomination to the old federation. I have to believe TNA will take it in a better direction than what we say in the WWE. I for one was a fan of ECW, but once Vince took it over, it was a laughing stock. So to Dixie Carter and Tommy Dreamer, I wish them all the luck in the world. I can say I haven’t missed Hulk Hogan on the show, I want to see different guys getting into the limelight instead of us seeing the same stuff from the Hulkster. I hear some of the ex ECW guys aren’t able to make the show, maybe if this idea of theirs works out, they can bring them in at a later date. Now I figure with this idea of their’s it could boost ratings, but to boost them to where the WWE is, I don’t think so. I would like to see it happen, but unfortunately the WWE is such a juggernaut in the industry it is something that will be near to impossible to achieve. There are many naysayers that didn’t give TNA a chance to last more than a year. Well 8 years later they are still hanging in there and are coming up with new ideas to help boost their ratings. Lets hope it happens, cause I like to have something else to watch besides just the WWE.

That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
