Change is defined as: a. To cause to be different or b. To give a completely different form or appearance to; transform. With the opening of Raw no longer having Jim Ross’s voice on it, is a quite a change. But with good ole JR no longer a part of the announcing crew on any of the shows, it was time for a change. Whether we like it or not, Raw is changing and with it, the announce teams as well. It’s been awhile since JR graced us fans with his presence as an announcer for the WWE. Maybe it was his decision, but in my opinion, it was WWE wanting to change things up and not have him announce anymore. They can’t say he is out on a medical leave because I saw him being interviewed right after the Brock Lesnar UFC fight and he was doing just fine. I miss the guy myself, he was always the professional play by play man and knew what he was talking about. He could make any match exciting to watch even if it sucked eggs. But with all things there needs to be change whether we want it or not. Sometimes it could be great, other times not so much. No one’s job is 100% safe anymore I guess.

Onto my thoughts about Raw this past Monday….The WWE didn’t get rid of the guest host idea as I had hoped they would. We had to have Florence Henderson on the show and had to watch her kiss the Great Khali. Ugh….if anything needs to be changed, it’s this idea. If they aren’t going to change it, get some guest hosts that know about wrestling at least. I thought it was a dumb idea when they started it and now more then a year later, it’s still stupid. The match of the night was Edge vs. Orton, many high spots and great moves and then to end it to have Jericho distract Orton so Edge could pin him was pretty good. I’m not saying it was an over the top match, but for a Raw match it wasn’t bad. The second main event was Cena going against all of NXT, in the end he was pinned. When NXT was going to give him another beat down, he was able to get a steel chair and was going to use it on any of the NXT guys that he could. When they had him surrounded, Sheamus of all people came running out with a chair as well. That’s where the show was ended. They had to end it fast cause Cena was cut open and we all know Raw doesn’t want blood to be shown anymore. The in-between matches were what you would expect from the WWE. The tag team match between the Hart Dynasty and the Uso’s didn’t have enough time to really get going. So to get into was nothing that was even possible to do. I’m hoping the PPV match between them will be given enough time to play out. John Morrison and Ted Dibiase w/Maryse had no time to develop, it was Maryse talking in French and John jawing about it and then Dibiase hitting Morrison. Morrison came back and was about to do his finishing move, but Maryse pulled Dibiase out of the ring. Maybe the writers have a plan for Ted, I hope so. I want him to do really well in this federation, but if they keep this crap up, it won’t happen. Miz was supposed to have a match against Mark Henry, but it never happened because Miz threw Henry into the metal stand the computer sits on that the GM communicates with. If this is change, we have a big problem and so does the entire federation. All in all subpar, but that’ the thing that I have gotten used to. Let the e-mails commence.

Onto my thoughts about TNA….the PPV was better than any WWE has put on in a long time. Yet I don’t understand why the ratings aren’t improving for this show. A legend returned to the ring at the PPV and had to job out. In all aspects, in order to make the young guys get over with the crowd, it had to be done. I believe he should have stayed retired. He could still be a manager and not ever wrestle again and the fact would remain he is still The Man. Now he will continue to wrestle until he can’t walk and will be a shadow of his former self, just you wait and see. Abyss is moving up the ladder as far as viciousness is concerned. He’s great as a heel and should have always stayed that way. Will he win the championship from RVD? I highly doubt it at this time. They better not split up Team 3D, I’m just saying, it wouldn’t work. They are a tag team, not single competitors. Jeff Hardy, Ken Anderson, Kurt Angle, what can I say but these guys are still great to watch. Love the tag team division and the battles they have. No matter who the champions are, I will love this division. WWE has got to have a look at what TNA is doing with the tag teams. In reality there are only 2 decent tag teams in the WWE, that does not and never will make a division.

That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
