After watching Raw this past Monday, one has to believe that the innuendos of having Stone Cold Steve Austin become the new general manager are just a falsity. Having his famous line in the “e-mail” that Cole read is way too obvious-“cause the general manager said so.” Too obvious for me, but maybe not many other fans out there. Hell I know a lot of people that think these storylines are real, so hoping to have Austin be GM for them is a real possibility. Before I go onto my thoughts about Raw and TNA, I have to talk real quick about Brock Lesnar and his fight with Carwin. I really thought Lesnar was done for in that first round after Carwin beat the living tar out of the man. But come the second round, Lesnar rallied and made Carwin tap out. Unbelieveable!! This guy is a beast and did a good job of taking out his opponent.

Now onto my thoughts about Raw…..Cena beat on Darren Young, (after the Rawy roster cleared the ring of the NXT) so the GM says he has to go against the entire NXT in a handicap match for next Monday night. Odd, how a face who gets beat down for the past 3 weeks has to have a match like this. As I said above, if you believe Austin is the GM, then why would Cena be in a handicap match? It’s too obvious and only a heel manager would make such a match. Although, the WWE writers probably don’t know yet who the person in charge will be, so it will be a mystery for awhile. Santino and Kozlov as a tag team…hmmm, to me, it would be better to see Kozlov and Khali with Santino as manager. Have them go for the tag team belts after the Hart Dynasty lose to the Usos’s at the next PPV. Yes I do believe the Usos’s will win. But because the team of Kozlov and Khali would be construed as a comedic pair, they won’t get a chance at the title for quite sometime. I foresee the Hart Dynasty battling for the belts against the Usos’s for the remainder of the summer, then maybe something else will transpire. Ted Dibiase going against John Morrison wasn’t too bad. They just didn’t have enough time for the match. It seemed hurried, but at least Ted got the win. I guess the WWE changed their minds about having R-Truth in the PPV. So there is an opening for the MITB Ladder match. The match between Bourne and Orton vs. Jericho and Edge was pretty darn good. At least the push for Bourne is still in full force and having him wrestling against Jericho makes it that much better. Jericho is an untapped force right now and maybe he will get the win at the PPV. Speaking of the PPV, I am hoping beyond all hope that the WWE will give the win on the Smackdown side to Christian. He deserves the chance to be the Champion. I will continue to say this until it happens. His mike skills are above anyone else and his wrestling is without a doubt spectacular. I can only hope he will get the win. One wasted match at the PPV is Mysterio and Swagger. No way will Mysterio lose this one. They took the title off Swagger because he didn’t pop with the fans, and now he gets his rematch at a PPV? Waste of a match in my eyes. Cena vs Sheamus in a steel cage…..I want Sheamus to win. But if Cena could do a heel turn, then I wouldn’t mind it so much to have him be the champ. I still say have NXT come down, get in the cage somehow and make it look as if they will attack Cena. Then instead of that happening, attack Sheamus leave him in the ring and let Cena be champ. Raise his hand and have Cena heel turn right in the middle of the cage and shake all the hands of the NXT. The fans would go bonkers. I am tired of seeing the belt on the good Cena and so I would want mister walking human mayonnaise to remain champ at least through Survivor Series. He has grown on me as champ. He gets a lot of heat from the fans and he’s good on the mike. The women’s match of the night was, well I don’t even have to say because it was just that bad. One good thing about Raw was there was no Guest Host, didn’t miss it one little bit. But now I hear Florence Henderson will Guest Host next week, ugh, just when I thought it jumped the shark, it is now official that this idea has really jumped. All in all the night wasn’t a total waste of my time. I will be the first to admit, I was channel surfing between Raw and Pawn Stars, but I didn’t lose the idea of Raw at all. Now if only they could keep my attention for the entire two hours of the show, that would be something.

Now onto my thoughts about TNA…In the coming weeks is Paul Heyman the man to change the course of TNA? Is a deal being made to have him come into the fold? If it is and he has some good ideas, it just maybe the thing that helps them out. Now as far as surpassing the WWE in ratings? I don’t see that happening anytime soon. There are too many older wrestlers in TNA right now. They need to boost the younger talent and have the fans care about them. We have seen the older guys and are tired of them. We as fans want something new and fresh (hence the reason both the WWE and TNA’s ratings aren’t the best.) we want to care about this stuff again, but it isn’t really happening. WWE is trying with the introduction of NXT, the Usos’s, the younger talents being moved up the line. What can TNA do to make us care? I suppose they will be trying to bring in a form of the ECW crew-even though they aren’t new-comers to the scene of wrestling. It would be nice to see them reform and put on show that made them great, I know I loved them before McMahon totally screwed it up. Abyss is back to his bad self again. He never should have been a face. He was always a beast as a heel, but I suppose they had to try something new for his character. Having him be a heel is the best thing from now on. Victory Road is this weekend and it would be a surprise if RVD lost the title. If they are going to start an ECW type stable soon, it would be a great idea to keep him as the champ. If they have him lose it, then I know the writers have no idea what they are doing. Kurt Angle is still hanging in there so his match is a toss up, but if they want younger guys winning, Angle will lose. Matt Morgan is a monster and to lose the match would be a shame. Beer Money for the win as well. The PPV looks to be a good card, at least better than what the WWE put on for their last one (and that isn’t saying much) have to see how it all turns out. Oh yeah Flair is wrestling for this PPV. I love the man, put for cripes sakes put a shirt on!!

That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
