 Winter's Storm-After the Draft

What did you think of the draft?

By now I’m sure you’re aware of who went where. I have a few observations and comments to bring up on this whole situation. Now that Edge has been drafted over to Raw and he speared Orton out of being the number one contender for the title, does it mean he is once again a heel? If so, that sure was a quick turn-around for him. I kinda figured he would have stayed a face for awhile, but with a lot good talent going to Raw, I guess they had to possibly dump his face turn right off the bat with the trade. Also no surprise to see Jericho go back to Raw, he’s too valuable to be on Smackdown. He does his best on live television. I’m not too sure about R-Truth though, to me he will probably see more time on the Superstars show than on Raw. I really wanted Christian to stay on Raw. The Powers that Be should have kept him on the Raw roster. Maybe he will be able to go against Swagger for the title sooner than later. Lets hope so. He’s a natural in the ring no matter who he goes against.

It was good to see Morrison back in the fold of Raw. I’ve always liked his ability in the squared circle and moving to Raw will help more fans see just how good the man is. Big Show isn’t much of a loss, the federation is getting to the point to where they don’t even know what to do with the man. Kofi Kingston wasn’t much of a shock because they were using him less and less on Raw anyways. Lets hope they don’t do the same to him on Smackdown. He has vastly improved in my eyes as far as a performer and it would be a pity to lose him. Kelly Kelly…..sorry I think I tuned out there for a moment. Aside from her good looks, I really could have cared less where she went, whatever.

The supplemental draft has sent Rosa Mendes, Hornswoggle, Chris Masters, Cody Rhodes, and Chavo Guerrero to Smackdown. No surprise with Cody, as Dibiase will probably move up the ranks on Raw and Rhodes will more then likely disappear on this show. Hornswoggle, and Chris haven’t done much as of late, so a move was needed. The same goes with Chavo as well as Rosa. I had thought that Orton would go to Smackdown as well, but it didn’t happen and maybe that's good for Christian. Goldust, Natalya, and The Great Khali (and Ranjin Singh) moved to Raw. Goldust must have shown the Powers that he is improving to get the shot on Raw, as well as Natalya (wanna bet the Hart Dynasty will be on Raw a lot?) The last move has me completely flustered with Khali. He’s a comedy sketch for the federation. He’s a joke as far as I am concerned-this was a mistake to move him to Raw, but what do I know??

The Hart Dynasty now has the Unified Tag Team belts, that’s great and all, but does it mean anything anymore? Don’t get me wrong I am extremely happy they have the titles now, but with the few tag teams that are in this division, it doesn’t say much to me. I have said this before and I will keep repeating myself, WWE has fumbled the ball on this division and continues to do so. A case in point- it was a mistake to have broken up Cryme Tyme. JTG and Shad were much better together than they are apart. The PPV match was just horrible to look it and the crowd didn’t seem to care about it. Have them get back together and have them be a heel tag team and go after the belts for the summer. Will it happen? Only if the writer’s are smart will they do it, but who said any of the writer’s in the WWE were smart or even had common sense.

Batista is now the number one contender to the Championship belt that Cena now holds. So at the next PPV it will be these two once again. If the rumors are true and Batista decides not to re-up his contract, you can bet he won’t win this match. He will fade into the wind and become a movie star, well that’s what he wants to do. Although with Batista, he has said this numerous times to leaving and then he decides to re-up his contract for whatever length of time he would sign for. He ain’t getting any younger, so really he should hang up the tights right now and do what he wants to do and that is act-whether he does well in it or not, only time will tell-if that’s what he decides to do. I’m willing to bet though he will be gone before summer.

That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
