So Hulk Hogan is returning to pro wrestling. Will this bring in the ratings for TNA now that the Immortal Hulk Hogan has decided to go to this organization? In my opinion at best it will bring the viewership to a 2.5 rating or maybe even a 3.0. But if Dixie Carter is thinking bringing in Hulk will surpass WWE’s ratings, she has another thing coming. About 20 years ago it was a shock when he turned heel and became part of the new group called the NWO, but now I just don’t see a shock that large ever happening again. With Vince Russo being head writer for the show, and Hulk thinking he’s mister cock of the walk now that he has been signed to TNA, it will only fuel a kindling pile that will go up in flames in no time. His agenda is to promote is new book and try to get another show deal with Spike. Once this is accomplished, he won’t care what happens to TNA, he’s in this for his self promotion and if you honestly think he will put over the young talent in TNA, I’ve got some ocean front property in Denver to sell you. All I will say is this will help the ratings a little bit, but in the end it will end up being a disaster.John Cena is once again the WWE Champion. It is without a doubt that he is this generations Hulk Hogan. There is no denying his drawing power for merchandise sales and the crowd reactions are phenomenal whenever he shows up. Love him or hate him he is at the pinnacle of the federation right now. But do we really want to see another HHH, Cena, HBK match?? I don’t. I was hoping they were going to put someone else in to go against Cena. Now’s the time to change it up, bring in one of the younger guys and try to promote him as they did Cena oh those many years ago. But it is looking as if we have to see the same three guys in the main event. Don’t get me wrong, these three know how to put on a hell of a show, but isn’t time for something new?? Trust in the younger guys talents and give it a try. There is still time, it could still happen. Batista has finally turned heel. Can’t say I was surprised to see it happen. It’s been brewing for awhile now. With the Animal going to Smackdown, you had to see it coming. There is no way the writers were going to keep him face, not with the Undertaker being a face. It’s a little bit of a one sided battle for the current storyling as I see it, what with Batista going against Rey Mysterio. It’s another David vs. Goliath story that has been done, but it that’s all they can come up with for these two, I guess that’s what we will have to watch for awhile. I don’t fully agree with it, but what do I know? I was hoping John Cena was going to go to Smackdown and start with the short feud he had with Batista. But it didn’t happen. You have to kind of see a feud between Undertaker and Batista coming before the end of the year, because I don’t see the drawing power of Big Show vs. Undertaker. There is a possibility that Show will beat Taker for the Heavyweight belt, but I just don’t see that happening. Batista vs. Undertaker at Royal Rumble maybe? Shane O’Mac will no longer be part of the WWE Universe and no one really knows why he quit. He was probably fed up with his sister’s antics and ass kissing to their father and decided to go a different direction with his life. I always thought he put on a hell of a good show when he was out in the squared circle, so the reasoning behind him leaving leaves me spellbound. Lets hope he returns to the fold sometime soon. It’s not what you know but who you know in the case of Sheamus. He was recently traded to Raw because he is the traveling workout partner with HHH. It sure helps to have friends in high places and believe me, if you’re in good with HHH, you will receive a boost to your career. He’s a big fella and he probably glows in the dark as well with how white his skin is, it’s just hard to say if his career will go anywhere. When he was wrestling, the crowd was pretty quiet during the match, being new to Raw it may have been expected. The jury is still out on him and how he will do for the Raw roster. The Miz is the United States Champion and I couldn’t be happier. I’m hoping he can be boosted up in popularity then what he is now, but the crowd reaction isn’t popping for him. To me he’s going to have to do something so despicable and so dirty that the crowd will absolutely hate him for it. The only thing I see that he could do is beat the living snot out of Hornswoggle and put the little leprechaun away for a spell. That’s about the only way he will get over as a major heel with the crowd. Right now he just isn’t bringing in the boos that are needed to push him further down the road that he needs to be. It’s looking good for Kofi Kingston and a nice little feud with Randy Orton. Destroying Orton’s gift from the Legacy was a nice touch to get this thing going. Kofi has been impressive as of late and it will only boost his career higher to have a well thought out feud with the Legend Killer. It’s hard to say if Legacy will interfere in the matches, but if I was a betting me, I would bet money on it that they will. Speaking of Legacy, I’m still waiting for Ted Dibiase, Jr. to turn face soon as well. Before the end of the year he will be getting cheered instead of jeered, I just have a good feeling about it. That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time…..
