Hello and welcome to the first installment of Turnbuckle Tuesday, with your host Johnny Fever! Today we'll cover a variety of issues in the WWE World! Now lets cover them now, Turnbuckle to Turnbuckle.Sunday Night featured a new concept PPV Bragging Rights. I must say I was very surprised by everything that happened. If you're the Miz, then right now is the time for you to be talking about how awesome you are! In what I must say was the surprise of the night, the United States Champion, The Miz defeated I.C Champion John Morrison. I have to applaud the writers on this one! Look at the facts, if Morrison wins, then it just went down exactly as most of us expected it to go down, so nothing is really gained. However, give the Miz the win, he shocks the world by beating a legitimate top face, giving him big time credibility and an opportunity to continue climbing the ladder! Morrison keeps his belt, and it's not going to effect his career either way, the man is just to great for a loss to even cause a blemish. The second shocker of the night for me was Team Smack Down winning the 7 on 7 match. I didn't think at any point that Chris Jericho and Kanes Team, either of them, looked strong enough to defeat Team Raw. I was thankful that they switch the teams up and removed Drew McIntyre and Vickie Guerrero's guy from the team because neither of them deserved to be in such a prestigious position. Dolph Ziggler, however, should have remained on the team in my opinion. In the conclusion, Big Show turns on Team Raw handing the victory to his partner Chris Jericho and Team Smack Down! A bigger surprise would be revealed the next night, but thats later! In what may have been a surprise to some, I saw it coming as soon as they started the Batista/Mysterio program, Batista turns on his best friend Rey and just literally destroys him after the 2 of them along with CM Punk lose to the Dead Man! Batista showed a side of himself that has not been seen in a long time, and he just looked like a beast! Well done Batista, you have peaked my interest, can't wait to see where this takes us! In the biggest pile of crap of the night, John Cena wins against the Legend Killer Randy Orton. Why Vince, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?? I guess the better question would be why WWE Universe why??? Quit buying his crap!! Vince is never going to throw this talentless wrestler back to mid card level where he belongs. Randy Orton is a far superior athlete to Cena. At least they did it properly though, and had Cena snatch it in a close one in the final seconds, thus not making Randy look weak. I'd like to see Randy go to Smack Down and get the title and be the main focus of a show like he so deserves! Well I suppose he'd have to share with Jericho, but the two of them working together oh the possibilities! On to Raw, I'm not going to get as in depth, just covering what I found to be well written stories. Big Show revealing that he turned on Team Raw for himself, and not for Chris Jericho was a very unexpected turn. Finding out that Show would be the Undertakers opponent for the World Title at Survivor Series peaked my interest! Big Show, in my opinion, has been under used, and at times made to look like a joke instead of a superior athlete. This man is an athlete folks. He is a very talented wrestler, pretty agile for a giant, and can hold his own on the mic. He has the size, he has the strength, and now he has the ball and some momentum. He did the job to Mayweather at mania, now give the man what he deserves! Undertaker does not benefit from the World Title. His legacy is etched, nothing is going to hurt it. Big Show still has a lot of miles in his engine and if used properly could be the best monster of a man ever! Give him the belt, just give him the opportunity and see what he can do for you! The HHH Big Show match was the best spot of the night for me! How they start the show with him revealing he did what he did to earn an opportunity, and to close with all of the Raw Roster extracting revenge was just excellent writing! Big Show did not look weak at any point in this match, and this is exactly the kind of thing they need to do to showcase him as the monster he can be. He took out the majority of the Raw roster, and in the end it took the entire roster, an Air Borne, an Attitude Adjuster from Cena, Sweet Chin Music from HBK and a Pedigree from HHH to finally pin the Big Show. And to close out Raw it is revealed that it will be HBK vs HHH vs John Cena in a Triple Threat for the Championship at Survivor Series! I am actually interested and heavily considering buying this PPV already! I hope that they keep this momentum going, I was very pleased with almost everything that went down and am actually looking forward to finding out how things unfold and where the road is going to turn! I'm hoping at the end of Survivor Series our champions are Big Show and HBK! I am going to close each column with the Turnbuckle Topic of the day. This will feature just any random topic of wrestling I feel like talking about past, present or future! It will always be WWE related, as the Tuesday column will always be dedicated to WWE. I plan on doing a Friday column dedicated to TNA. Todays Turnbuckle Tuesday's Topic is going to be Randy "Macho Man" Savage. Why isn't this man in the WWE Hall of Fame? Why isn't he ever brought in in Legends features? Why isn't he given the respect and admiration from the WWE that he deserves? This was one of the greatest wrestlers of all time! One of the greatest entertainers of all time! One of the best promo cutters of all time! Why is his legacy ignored? Hulk Hogan's been brought back multiple times after burning his bridges? Why hasn't Savage? Savage is one of the 4 men responsible for me becoming fascinated with the wild world of wrestling! The other 3 were Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair. Savage is involved in some of the most memorable moments in wrestling history! Who can forget Wrestlemania IV where he went through a tournament that included Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, One Man Gang, The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase and more, to capture his first World Championship! He would hold that title until the following year's, yes that's right folks an entire year, Wrestlemania V where the Mega Powers exploded and Hulk Hogan became the companies Champ once again in what can be considered one of the best matches ever! Then there was the emotional Wrestlemania VII where he lost a retirement match to the Ultimate Warrior! He lost his career but was reunited with his soul mate, Miss Elizabeth! Then his battles with Ric Flair and Jake the Snake were just legendary! What are your thoughts on Randy Savage? What was your most memorable moment of his career? This is the Turnbuckle Tuesday Topic, so I need to hear what you think! Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed the fascinating journey to the top of the mountain, with your fearless leader, Johnny Fever! See you see soon, until then catch the fever!
