Here’s what went down on Raw on the June 30th edition:

I didn’t think Raw was going to be too good when Jim Ross showed up at the beginning and just wanted to thank the fans, Jerry Lawler, blah, blah, blah. Edge came out and started to spout his usual crap and told his cronies to escort JR out of the building. Done…or so we thought. While Edge is walking up the ramp, Batista’s music hits. Batista beats on Edge going to the ring and gives him the Batista Bomb in the middle of the ring. Batista leaves. Then low and behold, CM Punk takes his opportunity to cash in his Money in the Bank match after Edge was beat down. Now Raw has the Heavyweight Title on its show, not sure if Punk will keep it very long though. I just don’t see him having it into the end of the year.

Santino interrupted Rey Mysterio while he was in the middle of the ring. Famous words Santino said, “You are not Batman!” “Now that is a photo!” The great thing about Santino is he has wit and and ego that won’t quit. He is entertainment. Course Rey did a 619 on him as well, so here we go with a feud between the two.

During an interview, CM Punk got face to face with JBL with a title match later on in the evening. Oh, boy.

John Cena is fine. I had thought he got hurt in his match from Night of Champions, I was wrong. The crowd either loves him or hates him. Who knows, maybe the WWE is piping in cheers for him, but you could still hear the boos. He talked awhile and commended Punk on his insight in turning in his chance when it arose. Cena also wants to go against him for the title, who will Punk choose-JBL or Cena? The crowd says Cena!! What will it be??? JBL comes out again and declares martial law and says he is running things. Cena is being taken down by JBL’s security force and takes him out of the building. Bye, Cena!!

"Priceless" comes out-that is Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes for those not in the know. They went against two jabronis that in reality it was a throw away match. The crowd wasn’t in to it because of this. Bad move on the WWE’s end to put the tag champs in a match such as this. The show was going along so nicely and then this. They really killed the momentum with this short match (luckily it was short). Rhodes then talks about why he turned on Holly. He figures he carried Holly and couldn’t focus on himself, that is why he searched out Dibiase to be on a winning team. Dibiase talks and says they took matters into their own hands and made things go their way.

Not sure what the point of the interaction between Kane and Jamie Noble was except to see poor Noble get his a** handed to him by Kane. Oh wait, it was a time filler.

Jericho is out to have his rematch with Kobi Kingston. Chris was disqualified for holding the tights of Kobi on a pin. So Kobi retains and Chris has Great American Bash to look forward to when he challenged Shawn Michaels to a match.

A quick clip of Edge going ballistic on the Edgeheads and yells at them to get in the car and to leave. Bye Edge!! Have fun on Smackdown.

Next up is CM Punk vs. JBL for the title. JBL’s security force comes to ringside and surrounds it. Not such a bad match. Cena with Cryme Tyme show up and run to the ring to disrupt the security force. In the confusion, Punk hits his move and pins JBL. End of Raw...

I have to give props to Michael Cole and his play by play, it was actually pretty good, I thought so anyways. The show was on par to being good for once in a great while. I am hoping with all the changes in the roster, it will keep getting better as the summer goes on. The draft was a good idea, well at least as far as I can tell at this point in time. I have been wrong before.

That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time…..
