The Mulch Pile - Why Smackdown Sucks

Why Smackdown Sucks (I realize that I’ll be talking about wrestlers from SD & ECW, so no need to correct me):

1) Stupid storylines - So let me get this straight... the GM takes the belt away from the Undertaker because he has been using an illegal choke-hold that NONE of the referees thought was illegal. I know that the WWE is going with a "GMs exercise their power" theme, but this one is just stupid. Makes no sense whatsoever.

2) Poor mic skills – Yes, there are some great ones in Edge, MVP and… yeah. Undertaker isn’t talking much lately and neither is Kane. Matt Hardy has improved so much since his early days, but still isn’t a crowd-grabber. Miz and Morrison are both good and have potential. Chavo is ok. Taking Kennedy off of Smackdown last year and putting him on RAW was great for him, but bad for Smackdown. Batista is average at best on the mic. One of the best mic talents is sitting around as Vicki Guerrero’s errand boy, Teddy Long. To me, Vicki Guerrero always sounds like she’s reading from a script.

3) Too predictable – Seriously, was there anyone who didn’t think Edge was going to come into the Championship Chase match at the end and win? Come on!

4) Tag Team Division is non-existent – Ok, maybe this is more of an all-encompassing WWE issue, but really, Miz and Morrison? I guess you need to give you talent some sort of gold, but the WWE really only consists of four true tag-teams: Cryme Time, Deuce and Domino, the Highlanders, and London and Kendrick. That’s it! Ok, maybe Jesse and Festus, but I think their tag-team days are over and you’ll be seeing more of a wrestler-manager relationship moving forward. There was a time when a tag-title change was a big deal. Nobody really cares anymore.

That’s all for now.
